Eminem may be bombarded with negative criticisms about his family life and the way he addressed his songs and lyrics but his success and contribution in music is nonetheless applauded by critics and supporters alike. Over a decade of music making and entertainment, Eminem garnered numerous awards, no.1 hits, no.1 albums and even a successful movie in which he bagged the  Academy Awards for Best Movie Soundtrack for 8 Mile. His recently released album, Recovery debuted at number spot not only in the US Billboard 200 but several countries around the world, so as his first single, Not Afraid from the album. His current topper, I Love the Way You Lie released on June 21, 2010 which features Rihanna, is number one for five consecutive weeks making Eminem's fourth number 1 in the US Billboard Hot 100 and Rihanna's seventh.

The collaboration has already won an award via Teen Choice 2010 in Best Hip Hop/Rock track category. Eminem stated in an interview that he was considering Rihanna because he believed that she is the only one who could pull the part. The collaboration was their first and looking forward to work creatively on the future projects.

Rihanna may had been surrounded with rumors and criticisms after her painful breakup, and legal suit against ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, but she has sure moved on bringing new and unique music. With her collaboration with Eminem, Rihanna just proved her versatility and innovation when it comes to music. 

The music video was released a month after the song was released through airwaves. It features the hottie Megan Fox and Lost's star Dominic Monaghan as couple with abusive relationship continuously fighting. It received positive response from the viewers and eventually received a record breaking views of 6.6 million in just 24 hours, 18 million views in 5 days and totaled 56.7 million views in Youtube and counting.
